  • Leroy Fisher, Sam and Will’s father. He has a long road ahead in his battle with cancer. Let’s pray for peace and strength during all the treatments.
  • Kordell and Mikayla Fisher and their new baby Reed. 
  • Rebecca Graber update from Frieda; “One month into her studies, she is progressing well with learning Spanish. Pray for continued stamina when her brain is tired and when living in a foreign country gets stressful.” 
  • Jeriah and Zion will be married this Sunday October 1st.
  • Chris and Ashton Beiler as they prepare for their wedding on October 15th.

 Important Dates and Information:


  • Sharpen Men’s ministry. Date change; Our first event is Wednesday October 25th, at 630 pm. We will try to keep the 4th Wednesday of the month our main day and a more consistent time. This month we will meet for a campfire and cookout at the Nissley woods.
  • No “Through the Word” study for this Thursday .
  • Abide Womens group will be Wednesday evening, October 11th.

  • GOD Speaks Makhua Challenge -The Chestnut Team that went to Mozambique gave a report of their visit and the celebrations at the Muapula Mission. The need for funding to complete the next important phase to train Makhua pastors and elders is apparent and we decided to do everything in our ability to help the missionaries to finish their task without having to fret about fundraising. Donations can be made via . If you’re willing, you can write your personal(anonymous) commitment towards the God speaks Makhua. Challenge on a card and drop it into the Prayer and Praise box next to the piano.

  • Memory verse challenge for kids ages 10-18.  The memory challenge includes memorizing Genesis chapters 1-3, and Romans 1:14-23, 3:18-28 completed by January 31, 2024 and will receive $100.  If you are interested in participating in this, please contact Elmer Lapp.
