For the LORD will comfort Zion; he will comfort all her waste places, and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD. Joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and melodious song.

Important Dates and Information:
- Beginning on December 1st through December 24th we will be decorating the church with poinsettias given in memory of a family member or friend. If you would like to purchase a poinsettia, they are $10.00 each. Please use the provided form at church or contact Lil Nissley. Feel free to order for more than one person. Pay Lil Nissley with cash, check or Venmo (Lil-Nissley).
- Abide Christmas Party will be held on December 13, Wednesday, at 6:30pm, and located at Chestnut Church. Please bring a gift (meaningful to you), and a finger food to share.
- Our Christmas Service will be on Sunday morning, December 24th. We would appreciate if people would contribute to this service if possible. Please notify Val Riehl or Daniel Crandall if you can participate in some way; it could be a song, scripture reading, or skit. The children will begin practicing for their songs on December 10th and 17th, during the Sunday School time.
- Through the Word Bible Study on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
Ongoing information:
- GOD Speaks Makhua Challenge – Donations can be made via www.muapulamission.co.za .
- Memory verse challenge for kids ages 10-18. The memory challenge includes memorizing Genesis chapters 1-3, and Romans 1:14-23, 3:18-28 completed by January 31, 2024 and will receive $100. If you are interested in participating in this, please contact Elmer Lapp.
